My Dear Well Wishers,
Welcome to the corridors of St.Mary´s School & College, Mirzapur to find the wards making their best, in school life. St. Mary´s School, Station Road, Mirzapur affiliated to CISCE, New Delhi, is situated in the heart of the city of Mirzapur with a spacious campus. The School, established in 1989, August 19th, is managed by St. Mary´s Educational Society, under the ownership of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Allahabad, a minority institution. The School stands for academic excellence, development of skills and character formation. St. Mary´s with her efficient & committed staff sees that every child, who enters the campus grows fully to a fine human being, who is physically fit, morally strong, psychologically balanced, mentally sound and above all intellectually competent in today´s society, which is torn apart with so many evils of various kinds in it, to make it a better place to live in.
The students, who pass out from the portals of S.M.S., shine in every field outside, as they are strongly founded on the value based quality education. Students at S.M.S. have ample opportunity to prove their mettle in bringing out the best of talents in them. Success and prosperity is possible, only when the things are done in a disciplined manner. Thus discipline is the backbone of St. Mary´s School. The whole school is divided into four houses, the staff as animators to help out the students to stand tall in taking up responsibility for the welfare of the school and of every individual. Various competitions, celebration of major festivals of all religions and National festivals, keep the inmates in the spirit of national integration. The school has two terms — April to September & October to March with one unit test before the half yearly and one before the final examination to bring out the best of results in their respective classes and the board examination.
- Parent teacher meeting is held in every month for a vivid interaction with parents and teachers.
- Remedial classes are arranged for the weaker / slow learners.
- Orientation programmes are held for the staff members to be more effective in guiding their wards.
Most Rev. Dr. Raphy Manjaly, Bishop of Allahabad as President and Rev. Fr. James Francis as the Diocesan Education Officer are guiding the school to achieve the highest excellence in both curricular and co-curricular activities, thanks to their regular and timely guidance and support.
